Sex Is Not a Game

Sammul Chan’s character in was a calm, cautious, and perfectionist one. His character was under a big pressure just because of an inadvertent small mistake that he had made. His love life was also full of twists and turns. In real life, Sammul admitted that he was wild, made mistakes, and was hurt. But he always thinks that love makes one hopeful.

Sammul thinks highly of love, dating, and marriage. “Love makes one happy and hopeful. It’s an essential thing to have in your life. Many people think that love is only about dating, hugging, or having sex with your partner, but is it only that shallow? Is it true that the reason to date someone is just for the sake of having someone to accompany you?”

A brief happiness, then a deep sadness
There are some people who are in love with each other that are having a premarital sex without carefully considering the consequences first. Sammul feels sorry for those people. “What is your intention when having sex with someone who’s not married to you? Where is the essence of sex? Can you have it that easily? Is your partner willing? A brief happiness can result in a deep sadness afterward, is that worth it? Just take raping for example. Forcing a girl to have sex with you when she’s not willing to is okay for some people, but the doer will be engraving a deep hurt and trauma in her life for sure. Basically, a healthy marriage won’t hurt each other.”

For Sammul, sex if for continuing the lineage, and is an important base for a marriage. It is definitely not a game. “Having sex first then get married is like putting the cart before the horse. What is the rule that is established in marriage? What is meant by signing a marriage certificate? We have to be responsible for everything that we’ve done. We have to be committed and be brave to face it. We’re not like animals, and we have to know what is the essence of sex. Dating is a preparation before marriage, equpping oneself to walk with his/her partner in harmony, taking care of each other to live their lives together onwards.”

Dating really makes one enthusiastic, because a perfect romance can make people envious. But everyone can make mistakes, especially when one’s still young. Young people are passionate about love and are curious about it, thus making them want to try. If one makes a mistake at the beginning, what can he do next then?”

After making the mistake…
“There are a lot of impulsive young people thinking that having a premarital sex is in vogue, but they don’t consider the consequences first. What if the girl gets pregnant? God created people with a will to choose between right and wrong. He doesn’t have to control them by grabbing their hand away from sin and taking them to the right track. Everyone makes mistake and the important thing is one has to know how to clean up the mess. If you make the mistake when you’re young and are willing to face the consequences, I will still admire you.”

But Sammul indicated that we can’t really put the blame on the youth for their mistakes. “To some scales, Hong Kong youth are really open-minded, but we can’t really put all of the blame on them. Open-minded or not depends on the society’s tolerancy and acceptance. We also have to see the factors and the strength of the surrounding people’s adaption. Hong Kong is a free society, thus the parents’ responsibilities are very important as they have to educate their children, not just telling apart their right and wrong behavior. Many parents feel awkward to teach or even talk to their children about sex, thus vehemently declining to discuss it with their children. Parents should be more open-minded in chatting with their children personally about anything, for example about life skills, and the problems that may come up in dating and marriage, etc.”

Sammul used the “1+1” equation as a metaphor to describe the importance of sex education. “Why do we know that 1+1 equals 2 instead of 1? Why do we understand English and Chinese? It’s because we have learned them since we’re young. Why then sex education is not taught as a life-long lesson? I think sex education should be a compulsory subject to be learned by young students.”

Remember to always leave when you are tempted
Sammul looks mature and serious, but he also has some childishness in his face. Having been young, he has hurt and been hurt by others in his love and work life. He also told us that he has done something that makes him regretful up until now. He learned how to think clearly and calmly from those experiences.

When young people are facing a temptation and hesitation, Sammul advised, “They first of all have to leave the place to calm themselves. When you have that desire to have sex, you have to leave at once, and then think again whether you really have to do it, or whether it was only an impulsion.”

Sammul really hopes he can do something more for the youth and encourage them. “There are some things that one has to experience for himself to understand something. I won’t say proudly that I never did that, but I will always remember what the Bible says about it, ‘Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. ‘ Life is short, and not all of the youth know that they can’t put the clock back, so do they still have time for lust? If you have some ample time, spend them by traveling, playing some sports, pursuing a higher education degree, or learning some new skills that are more useful.”

Jimmy Lin to donate RMB1M to the Earthquake Relief Effort

“The Little Whirlwind” Jimmy Lin opened two restaurants in Taipei, one in 京华城，and one in 乐利路. Recently, patrons saw rats in one restaurant and reported it to the media.

Jimmy said yesterday that his restaurant passed all health inspections. “The entire 11th floor in 京华城 is full of restaurants. Because ours has an the open design, the rats were just passing by and not staying. We have increased sterilization and have complained to management. If they don’t improve the situation we will move.” Besides worrying about rats Jimmy is also concerned about the victims in Sichuan. He is donating RMB1M to the relief effort.

Jimmy has confirmed that he will appear on the CTTV and Chungqing TV fund-raising shows and will leave next Monday. He said he is now collecting donations from his fan club and commercial sponsors. In order to make sure that the money will go to the victims he’ll personally deliver the money to the Red Cross account. He will also go to the frontline as a volunteer.

Jiro, Rainie, George's new drama- Shooting in June

The newest wave in the entertainment, Jiro Wang, George Hu, and "Mistress of Cute" Rainie Yang, work together for he first time in a Bada project, "Love Will Always Be Together" (Unconfirmed Name). Before filming, the three of them have yet to officially meet, but they already are expecting to hit it off the moment they do. Da Dong has called himself "Master of Cute", and even George Hu has acknowledge himself to be "Smiling Killer", both are expectant to exchange opinions with their female lead about ways to act cute.

The tentative date is around June, to start filming "Love Will Always be Together", Jiro Wang's character is described to be top notch idol singer and idol drama star. But because of a whole string of bad news coming one after the other, his momentum is starting to decrease, becoming an idol with a declining reputation. When he starts to have cash sprout problems, he has no choice but to rent a room outside, and thus, is introduced to his 'Landlady', played by Rainie Yang, as well as the female lead's childhood friend, George Hu.

Speaking of characters, when Jiro Wang was asked on his opinion of an idol's image, he said, "The commissioning of one's mood is important. No matter what happens, be serious in your job." He himself has had the thought that if he did not enter the entertainment industry, he would become a hairstylist, or a fashion designer.

Rainie Yang is collaborating with Jiro Wang for the first time, Rainie will have to portray the character of a 'miyake woman' type of lady. One who does not like to dress up nor act pretty, and who doesn't really have friends. In real life, Rainie does have the slightest bit of 'miyake' taste. When she doesn't have work, she'll stay at home and not go out, the highest record being three days. Even if friends invite her out in the evening, no matter how long they take to persuade her, she would much rather prefer to stay at home lazing around, wilding her time away, and get proper rest.

Acting the female actress's childhood friend, George Hu, will have a breakthrough in his acting career. He will be acting an "Ah Gan" innocence, his intelligence will be equivalent to one of an 8 year old, yet he is a swimming champion. Lately, he has been training his swimming, and even went to the gym for sauna, letting his body become tan, and looking more like a swimming champion.

But George Hu, who has a bright personality, is also a guy who prefers to stay at home. In America, when he was in his teen years, he preferred to stay at home reading his comics, or playing his games, to the point that he didn't step out of his house for one month! "I played my games, stop halfway to run out to the nearest game center to get a memory card, and then run back to my room to continue playing". After coming to Taiwan, he still spent most of his time at home, practicing his calligraphy, or he would spend his time in the gym.

But Jiro Wang is not the slightest bit like his other two co-stars. Last time, he always followed his family to go and offer prayers, and he always loved to go out on his bike, and see the natural surroundings. "I can't stay at home for more then one day without going out. Even if it is going out to buy something or to take a walk, would do." But when he is at home, Jiro would watch DVD's, or sing. If he has met someone he loved, but she is the type who prefers staying at home, after giving it some thought, Jiro stated that he would give up.

"I can't help it! I love going out!" But yet, around him, he has many friends who would rather stay at home

Vivian Hsu & Stephen Fung, Together?

It may be the 21st century, but feminist ideas have yet to penetrate the sequined tower of the Mando-pop glitterati. Vivian Hsu (徐若瑄), for example, has had to resort to divine intervention to provide her with a man in her life, after breaking up with F4’s Vanness Wu (吳建豪) three years ago. A visit to Taipei’s Xingtian Temple (行天宮) this March seems to have paid off: rumors are swirling of a blooming romance with Stephen Fung (馮德倫), who achieved prominence in the gossip press through his one-time association with Karen Mok (莫文蔚) and Shu Qi (舒淇).

Next magazine reports that Hsu prayed at every one of the temple’s many shrines, paying special attention to that of “the man in the moon” (月下老人), who is responsible for romance, and the goddess of childbirth (註生娘娘), whose cosmological function is self-explanatory. Arron walks out from the shadow of being a weakling

In taiwanese band Fahrenheit, Arron is the youngest and because of his leg injury, he's often being seen as the weakling, often being protected by the other members. During group interviews, Calvin is always the one who keeps talking, Wu Chun is always the center of media's attention, while Jiro is the 'Pose King'. Arron feels that there is nothing special about himself and because of his young age, he often does not have the chance to be the main lead.

But after 2 years, Arron is finally the male lead in an idol drama, acting as 007, solving cases in school. Even if there are a lot of action packed scenes which will affect his leg injury, Arron says he must bear with it!

There are now more smiles on Arron's face compared to the past. He admits that as his showbiz assignments increase, his confidence increased as well. "Luckily this time there is a chance to be the male lead and since this is the first time, I have set very high expectations for myself. The character is a calm and intelligent person, hence it is easy for him to spot clues during a case. Honestly, my true character is not so calm."

What's the most difficult thing about acting such a character?
"Now, I'm like a sponge. Be it singing, dancing or acting, they are all at the 'absorbing stage'. Nothing is difficult to me, but I have to learn. But the difficult part is action scenes... there are a lot of run and catch scenes yet my leg is injured and the doctor said I can't do strenuous actions. But as an actor, you can't ask doubles to stand in for you just for simple run and catch scenes. This will irritate people. Hence I must do it personally despite the pain, then apply medication when I reach home."
Arron says he will apply medication secretly as he doesn't want his mom to worry.
"Everytime when I reach home my mom would be awake waiting for me, helping me apply medication and massage. She is very worried but actually my injury isn't that bad, hence I don't want her to get too sensitive."

Arron said his injury isn't that bad to console his mom. Actually his chances of full recovery has decreased, which may affect the way he walks in future.
"I decided to actively go hospital for treatments after filming the drama, hopefully the situation can be salvaged." Despite his pains, he has never asked for a day off. "This is important, actors must have actors' integrity. Besides, during this period of time, I am very into my character and I hope that I can finish filming the show in one shot." Arron has never acted as a detective, hence the director told him that he should watch some takuya kimura films and learn from him. The director said he does not need to imitate Kimura, just learn the way kimura acts naturally. Hence Arron said he has been watching a lot of kimura shows regardless of whether they are useful or not, he just wants to learn and absorb.

Not worthy of fans' love.

Arron said the most heartwarming thing which happened recently was his good bro Wu Chun.
Wu Chun knew that his leg had problems after filming and specially bought a kind of joint medication for him. "Wu Chun also often gets injured during exercises and he feels that this kind of medication is good for my recovery, hence he specially ordered the medication from overseas for me." In the past, Arron would always doubt his fans' love for him, wondering if they treat him nice just because they love fahrenheit. "Everytime I see and hear fans shouting for me, I keep wondering if they really love me as I do not show much results and achievements in showbiz. Am I worthy of their love?" And now as there are more chances for Arron to prove himself, this is the time he really needs fans' support.

In Fahrenheit, Arron seems to be the one who talks the least. Exactly how is the relationship among fahrenheit members? Do you want to go solo?

"Actually we really do not bear hatred or grudges like what the media portrays. In these two years, we've gotten along better than before. Honestly, at the beginning we will be mindful of each other and we will be afraid of offending one another. But now it is different. We just say what comes to our minds. And Calvin loves to joke. It is always funny with him around. I hope that this band will continue, just go solo when it comes to filming dramas.

Fahrenheit went to Hainan Island to shoot a commercial recently. Any funny stuffs to expose about your brothers?

"HAHA you want me to be the spy? All right, I'll tell you. Wu Chun has been very nervous about filming Butterfly Lovers, hence he brings his script wherever he goes. Other than his script, he brings along a long wooden sword to practise. But the sword was too long to fit into his luggage, so he chopped it shorter to fit into his luggage. In the end we all laughed and said his long sword became a short sword. As for Jiro, he has been filming Rolling Love and as a result of holding pans, his arms are now muscular and buff, hence he keeps acting as big buff guy in front of us. As for Calvin, he has been more free and has been investing in stocks. Heard that he made profits. He is very smart, hence he knows about investments. But we know that he is very nervous about having no assignments. As a person who has been through that, I told him to keep calm and use the time to master dancing and singing, which will come to good use."

Jay says that he will be working behind the scenes before he reaches 35

Jay who had had the Ankylosing spondylitis disease had announced that he had gone through a body check u during the last month and found out the blood vessels had some symptoms of being solid. His body strength has decreased ever since and eats plain food mostly. He has decided that he wants to get married before 35 and be behind the scenes instead.

Since this disease is caused by daily eating habits, so Jay has been stopping fried or burnt food to prevent from being in a worse condition. He says : Now our family has changed to plant oil instead, to change our eating habits.


To get married before 35

Jay said that his body strength has not been as good as the past and wants to get married earlier as planned. He said "In the past I said I would want to get married at 37, but now at 35 and will be behind the scenes after that" With only six years left to have a girl friend, Jay said that the girl friend he will have will be in the marrying issue process.

As a celebrity, we need to participate in more charity programs and take lead so that more people join us.] The ChongQing concert on 24th of May of Jay's has all 30000 tickets sold but has no news on if it will be delayed or cancelled but his own opinion is that he hopes that it can be delayed. He even said that if there is a earthquake funding song event, he will participate and compose one too.

BoA - Kissing You / Sparkling PV Released

Superstar BoA is continuing her efforts in Japan. The PV's for 'Kissing You' & 'Sparkling' (see videos below) were released recently. This on the heels of her 26th Japanese single album titled 'Vivid', due to be released on June 4th. The first track from 'Vivid' titled 'Kissing You' will be the theme song for Japanese Drama '7 Female Lawyers'. The second track 'Sparkling' will be used for a Commercial. There is also a third track on the album titled 'Joyful Smile'. Like most things on the internet, 'Vivid' has been already leaked and is being downloaded through various outlets.

BoA's next scheduled performance will be on popular Japanese show, Hey Hey Hey (Heyx3) on May 18th.
