Jay Chou Won't Attend HK Film Awards

Taiwan pop king Jay Chou will not attend the 27th Hong Kong Film Awards ceremony on Sunday because he's unlikely to win, Web site qq.com reported.

Jay, a hot singer and actor, announced this news during the 2007 Music Radio China Top Music Chart awards ceremony in Beijing on Saturday.

"Secret", Jay's directorial debut, has been nominated for "Best Asian Film" at the Hong Kong celebration. But he said he was not confident enough to win.

In 2006, Jay Chou pocketed "Best New Comer Award" in the 25th Hong Kong Film Awards for acting in his debut "Initial D".
