Jimmy Lin and Ruby Lin appeared together on Anhui Red Cross fund-raising show



Jimmy Lin, Ruby Lin and 26 other celebs appeared on Auhui Red Cross fund-raising show on Friday, May 23, 2008 for the quake victims. Jimmy sang Dui Wang from My Lucky Star. They both helped answer incoming calls on the donation lines.



Jimmy will go to the disaster area in Sichuan on May 25 with 19 other celebs to hand-deliver relief goods and money to the victims.

Jay sends wishes to quake victims, encouraging them to be strong and keep going on.


There is a 17 year old Beichuan student known as ‘Zheng Hai Yang’ lost both of his legs in the earthquake and according to ‘Chongqing wan bao’, it was discovered that Zheng loves to listen to Jay’s songs, the press contact Jay immediately, hoping to grant the boy a wish. Jay reached Chongqing last night and after knowing the news, he had sent his regards to the boy.

The amputated boy wants to meet Jay.

  After a professor had given Zheng some consultation before he agrees to dissect his legs, when they asked what he had always wanted, Zheng told the professor that he wants to listen to Jay’s songs, and wanted Jay’s autograph.

Zheng is a year one Beichuan student who was a quake victim of an very unfortunate and severe condition, and from what we know is that he was the lucky few who survived in his class.

Contacting Jay’s concert organizers in a flash, they managed to speak to Jay himself after the person in charge was aware of the situation. Jay, who was in Hong Kong airport at that time, send his good wishes and encouraging words to the boy. Jay reached Chongqing last night and the first thing he did was to write his wishes for the boy, and includes a photo of himself ad used gold marker to write Zheng’s name on it.   

The person in charge of the organizing company revealed that Jay long to meet Zheng personally, but because the flight was at night, and was afraid that he would disturb the resting time of other patients, so he had decided to include his picture instead.

Last night at about 10pm, when the reporters sent Jay’s wishes to Zheng, and the wishes says, “Must be strong! Must move on! Must take care of your health! I will be waiting for you to come and watch my Chengdu’s concert!” Although it’s a simple one-liner, Zheng smiles for a long time. His doctor claimed that its his happiest day during his hospital stay. Zheng’s father was in tear and smiled, quietly looking at his son.   

Tonight, Jay’s quake relief concert will be held in Chongqing’s stadium. Jay will be singing ‘Snail’ together with 30 students from Ba Shu primary school, and expressed his wishes to encourage the quake victims to move on to new beginnings.
