Jerry Yan to play Prince of Piano in new drama to be invested by Japan

It was reported that the new idol drama, Double Pianos On The Stars (Heng Xing Shang Di Shuang Gang Qin), played by Yan Cheng Xu will start filming next month. It has 20 episodes. Yan Cheng Xu's talent fee will be US$20,000 per episode (about NT$620,000) and it creates the new record among the idol drama male leads in TW. In the drama, Yan Cheng Xu will play a prince of piano. As Zeng Ke Xuan will be one of the female leads, the new drama seems like the tv version of "Secret".

After finished filming Hot Shot, Yan Cheng Xu will start the filming of Double Pianos... right away. In the drama, Yan Cheng Xu will play a talented prince of piano. He grew up with Zeng, but then he lost his memory after an accident. When he fell in love with another female lead, Guan Ying, he lost his ability to play piano as well.

For preparing for this drama, Yan Cheng Xu has put in a lot of effort for quite some time. Last year, when he stayed in Japan, other than learning Japanese, he also studied piano. For numerous times, he has expressed his fondness of piano and its sound, and since youth, he has admired the guys who can play piano. He even thinks that his long fingers are very suitable for playing piano.

Acutally, in the 2006-hk concerts, he has showed his piano skills. He also has a NT500,000, white grand piano at home, and coincidently the new drama can fulfill his dream. According to news, this drama is invested by Dentsu Advertising Group/East Japan, Inc, and investors from Mainland China and TW. Yan Cheng Xu's talent fee will be US$20,000 per episode, which is much more than US15,000 per episode for Hot Shot, and this breaks the record of the market price among TW's idol drama main leads.

Interestingly, in Jay Chow's movie, Secret, he also showed his piano skills and Zeng Ke Xuan was also part of it. Double Pianos On The Stars seems to be the tv version of Secret. Yesterday, Yan Cheng Xu's agent, Amy, refused to comment on the talent fee, and only stated that Yan Cheng Xu doesn't concern about talent fee much, and he cares more on whether he likes the script or not.
