Jimmy Lin, the business mogul on front page of CCTV.com

Jimmy Lin: “Idol Boss” Net Worth over RMB1B from running businesses.
He owns four BMW, M3, Ferrari, and Subaru sports cars. Alex Tu said on a show that Jimmy’s house is like a concert hall. It has almost all high-tech equipments. The media reported that he gave his personal assistant TW$2M (RMB500,000) bonus at year end. His net worth is over RMB1B. He friends call him CEO Lin.

Jimmy said he opened a chain of photo studios more than 10 years ago and was already a CEO then. “I have some companies, but I am not as rich as you said. Not the type with chauffeurs and bodyguards. I drive my own car.” But CEO Lin, the car fanatic admitted that he spent a lot of money on cars. His most expensive car is a RMB300M Ferrari. The car he drives daily is a Mercedes-Benz. Although he loves running his businesses but he said he won’t give up showbiz. “A lot of fans listened to my songs growing up. I won’t give it up.”

Jimmy Lin owns many businesses. They include an IT company, an online shop (that sells his personal JR accessories), a car dealership, a racing consulting company in ZhuHai, Jimmy Creative (that manages his own showbiz activities), and a photo studio with 5 outlets (he has sold this years ago. He opened a restaurant in 2006.) He also races for his own racing team and other teams for a salary.

Jimmy likes to go online. Then he turned his hobby into an online shop with his older brother. He is responsible for the creativity and buying. He said online shops are lucrative. If they are run well they can generate monthy revenue of RMB1M. He opened an online shop that sells chic products. He started an IT company and became a CEO. It develops software for surveillance equipments, and multi-media. The equipements used by paparazzi are developed by his company.

Alec Su once joked about Jimmy, “Your conpany is working for the enemies.” What made Jimmy proud is that his company monopolizes software development for the army and banks. In 2005 he raced for the HongHe Rally Team in China for a 7 figure salary. He also opened a racing consulting company in ZhuHai. According to insiders, he made over RMB8M from this company in a yr. This company also sponsored the series 《车神》by 陆毅 and Vicki Zhao. He starts to get into film production too.
