Joe Cheng gets burned from hot soup; swelling and in livid red color

[Xiao Zhong] Zheng Yuan Chang is acting and [directing] too, in the new TV Series adapted from a manga series [Honey and Clover] he is not just acting as one of the main lead, the production team calls him as [Assistant Director] too!

Professional in ensuring the correct place and clothes
[Honey and Clover] is about to be aired, Xiao Zhong even left a message in the blog of the series and was being commented on using the wrong words in his message. The team production defended for him by stating that even though Xiao Zhong used the wrong words but he is very professional when he comes to acting and nobody could compare with him. They also pointed out that during the filming, Xiao Zhong will not only remembers his own place, he will also take note of the places that are for the other casts and also make sure that their hairstyle, clothes, shoes does match back with their previous scene. He would even take note of the exact place for the chairs and other equipments as well; everyone in the production team will call him as [Assistant Director].

In one of the scene, they were having steamboat in the house of the professor who plays by Zhang Han. Xiao Zhong has to pick up his food from the steamboat into his own bowl while delivering his lines and he wasn't aware of the soup in his bowl, so some of the soup splashed on his hands; but since the director didn’t say [CUT], so Zheng Yuan Chang had to endure his burning pain. When the director shouted cut, his burning wound was swelling already. He immediately dropped his bowl and shouted: [So hot! So hot!] and dashed to the basin and washed his hand with water.

Well-prepared; turned into the real Zhen Shan
After having been in numerous idol series, Zheng Yuan Chang still considered himself as a newbie, the production team in [Honey and Clover] revealed that, during the early stage when they invited him to take the role as [Zhen Shan], Zheng Yuan Chang has already read the manga, understand the general story plot, character and was well-prepared. He even takes part in the audition; to the production team, the most astonishing incident will be during the audition. That time Zheng Yuan Chang was already wearing the flowering print clothe and jeans, he also took out several black frame glasses from his bag; look exactly like [Zhen Shan]. His attitude toward his work was admired by the production team. The only thing is, all those black frame glasses are from well known brand names, the logo from the glasses reveals it all and they laughed at him (Joe) by saying: [“Zhen Shan” don’t use brand names merchandise!]
