A friend of mine stopped by the other day and we had a nice long discussion about THE TRUTH. It's interesting what people read and what people believe. Sometimes, the truth is simply one question away from being discovered. People are quick to judge. People are quick to point fingers and quick to blame. (I might have been guilty of this as well.) But how many people actually stopped and just asked "what really happened?" No one really knows and no one really needs to know. What's important is that homey is still smiling. Big up EDC.

Another "Forbidden Kingdom" Expected

The overwhelming box-office success of the action-adventure flick "The Forbidden Kingdom" has prompted its producers to shoot a sequel.

Sources from the film's Chinese investor and distributor, Huayi Brothers, said Tuesday they will once again collaborate with Hollywood for part two of the Jackie Chan-Jet Li film, the Beijing Times reported.

The two action heroes will appear in the follow-up film, together with actress Li Bingbing, who made her major Hollywood debut with "Forbidden Kingdom."

The sequel is likely to feature a romance between Jet Li and Li Bingbing's characters, the Beijing Times report says.

According to earlier rumors, Huayi Brothers president Wang Zhongjun said a sequel would be made if global revenue of "The Forbidden Kingdom" hit US$50 million.

The film raked in almost half that amount in its opening weekend in North America two weeks ago, topping the local box office with US$20.9 million. According to the Beijing Times, the US$70-million film has already broken even.

Big Confession: Da S: Marriage is not my goal in life

Many people thought that I should get married into a rich and powerful family. But after my younger sister got married, I knew then that our destiny if very different, even her type of work is different from mine. Xiao S is very lucky, she'll enter in an airconditioned studio to hosts, then after that she'll get off from work and goes home and she already earned money just by that. I on the other hand will fly into different places, with bad weather, heavy rains or even endures the which i hated the most, just to earn money.

But even if my sisters are all married, I always thinks that getting married is not what i want the most in life. I have said that many times before so that people would not anticipate that i'll get married soon. But everybody hopes that i'll get married into a rich family, it was then the i realized that i enjoy my work more than having a husband. The people actaully might think that my mother is the one who wants me to find a rich husband, but the truth is, she is not hoping for that and the same goes w/ Xiao S too.

I remember when Xiao S was about to get married because sge got pregnant, I was really shocked and worried, i thought she might not able to handle a family of her own. After she got married, I changed my views about them and begun to admire them, with Mike, her two daughters and her in-laws, Xiao S became complete.

Most are already pressuring me: "do i want to have a child?" I admit that I was with my two sisters throughout their labor. I witnessed my elder sister trying very hard to push the baby out and torn up for a natural childbirth. I thought I am a better fit to be an aunt and a nanny.

Jimmy Lin's attempt to change his image as the mature LiShiMin in ShaoLinSi 2

The handsome Jimmy Lin debuted 16 years ago (at 17) in 1992. The Little Whirlwind swept thru Aisa but it seems that time has not left its marks on his face. He looks just like he was 15 years ago, only with a little maturity.

Jimmy is a timeless legend. He was the mischievous Xiao YuEr. Since The Legendary Siblings his road to stardom has been very smooth. He won the Most Popular Actor award in the Asian Film Festival with the movie Ang Yee (1999). The Legendary Siblings and Lu Xiao Feng were popular not only in Taiwan but in Hong Kong. His popularity rose again with Tian Long Ba Bu. But most of the roles he took are more or less the same, like the cute Si Mao, to Xiao YuEr, then to Du Yu in Tian Long Ba Bu. Even though his acting skills are mature but because of his babyface all his roles have been childish.

There are no doubts about Jimmy’s acting skills. His new role as LiShiMin in ShaoLinSi 2 is a breakthrough. LiShiMin is a young man in ShaoLinSi 2 but he is a nobility and a general. He shoulders the burdens of the people. LiShiMin is a mature and responsible man in personality and actions. Jimmy’s role as LiShiMin is an attempt to change to a more mature image. He is working hard to broaden his roles in acting.

Jimmy was the young king Du Yu for a few days in Tian Long Ba Bu. This time he shreds off his childishness and ascends to the throne to become the handsome Tang emperor LiShiMin. He takes command on the battlefield. His portrayal is true to history because LiShiMin was a very handsome emperor. Jimmy’s LiShiMin is dashing and gallant. We believe his change will be successful.

Tricia Chan: Edison Will Return to Hong Kong for Court Hearing

Allegedly, the male lead of the celebrity nude picture scandal, Edison Chan has become a Christian after the scandal. Yesterday, Edison’s sister Tricia attended the “新地孝子孝女共迎母親節 (Good Sons & Daughter for Mother’s Day)” function at the Tai Po Mega Mall. She responded to the questions about Edison’s new found faith and confirmed that the Edison and the rest of the family became Christians. The new faith made the family happier and their thoughts became more positive and correct. They believe that the incident happened for a reason and the future will be better. Tricia said: “After the incident occurred, Edison was very unhappy. He lost a lot of weight and appeared to be 10 years older. Lately, my mother and I saw him. He is eating better and running for exercise. He is healthy and returning to normal. He became more constructive and enthusiastic. He is very busy in the US with his meeting, casting and signed with William Morris management.”

Why did Edison start to believe in God? Tricia said: “Edison attended a Christian school when he was young. After the scandal, he found strength in his daily prayers. I started to believe in God about two months ago. Believing in God doesn’t make you perfect but you would slowly become a better person. (“Is Edison repenting?”) I don’t know but I know he is more peaceful.”

She revealed that there is no change in Edison and Vincy’s relationship. Vincy and her family are supportive of Edison. Their mother didn’t know what to do and became delusional after the scandal broke. But she is well now. Is Edison going to return to Hong Kong soon? Tricia said that he would return if he needs to appear in court. Their mother’s birthday is May 11th which is also Mother’s day. Their mother is in Hong Kong right now so she would not go to Canada for celebrations.
