Holding a concert in Macao, Jay Chou tries out gambling and loses

Yesterday night Jay Chou's world tour concert moved its way to the Venetian at Macao, it's rare for him to hold a concert at a casino so Jay Chou tried his hand at blackjack, but he lost HK$20,000, he laughed saying that it was the pocket money his mother gave him to let him experience the atmosphere there, but gambling is not a good thing, indeed you will lose 9 out of 10 times, he advised everyone not to gamble.

Jay Chou's first performance ever at the Venetian attracted 130,000 fans, the ever filial Jay Chou brought his mother along, even his grandmother went onstage to show off her dance skills, director Andrew Lau, Eric Tsang and Florinda Ho were all guests.

The interesting thing was the performers the organisers invited, they included Celine Dion who is a foreign artist, the fans listened to her quietly, for this time's Jay Chou performance, the organisers were worried the atmosphere might get too high and fans will start throwing light sticks, thus they set down a lot of rules in the venue, when the audience enter the venue they must have their bags checked, food and light sticks were banned, the atmosphere was very different to that of Mainland China concerts, even Jay Chou felt bored.

But, there were still fans who smuggled them in, Jay Chou happily praised: "You guys secretly brought in light sticks, not bad!" When he was performing drumming, he deliberately pretended he didn't bring his drumsticks and asked fans to borrow a pair of light sticks, the passionate fans immediately responded and collectively threw light sticks onto the stage, they were stopped by security, the naughty Jay Chou said: "Don't worry about the security, security out." These words were accompanied by applause from the audience.

After two encores in the concert, Jay Chou appeared at the small stage behind the audience, this made the whole audience race madly to the back, the scene was a bit chaotic, the Hong Kong media told Jay Chou there were quite a few foreign hotties offstage, he said: "Really? I didn't see them, oh, should have asked them on to the stage for a duet!"
